Welcome to Problem Paws !

Julie Hamblin. DipCABT

Welcome, we have created this site as an introduction to myself, my background, my training and techniques for helping companion animals and their owners resolve behavioural and control issues.

I have always been involved with animals from a young age, my initial career took me in to the NHS for 19 years. Eventually I decided to make a change in 2003 and moved to become a part-time nurse while I continued training to become a professional companion animal behaviourist.

I began with a comprehensive certificated course in canine care and behaviour from the Cambridge institute of dog behaviour & training backed and moderated by Middlesex university, learning from tutors such as Colin Tennant, Joe Clarricoates and my personal tutor - Phil Watson of the Anglian Wolf Society. I then progressed to the COAPE DipCABT Diploma course backed by the National Open College Network, trained by tutors such as Peter Neville, Val Strong and Robert Falconer-Taylor some of the countrys leading authorities on animal behaviour. The course is an advanced award in the practical aspects of companion animal behaviour and training, and was passed with distinction.

I continue to train and have participated in informative and educational sessions with renound behaviourists such as, Turid Rugaas the international behaviourist & author from Norway and Sarah Fisher's introduction to the "Tellington Touch" techniques.

Please click the "Methods" link at the top to learn more about the methods, techniques and additional information about training and behavioural systems I practice in relation to our services.

The "Forms" link will allow customers and vetinery professionals to contact me and refer cases as needed.

All COAPE members work to a code of practice, you can find the full details here -
